Valentin Nikolov, M.D., Ph.D. has completed the Medical Academy in Sofia in 1979.

From the following year until 2000 he has been the Principal Lecturer at the University Maternity Hospital "Maichin Dom" in Sofia, where he has been engaged with scientific research and development.

He has specialized in the Obstetric Beaudloque Clinic in Paris, as well as the Cochin and Saint Antoine hospitals, and clinics and institutes in other European countries.

During 1994 Dr. Nikolov reaches the highest education in medicine - when he acquires a doctorate degree in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.

He is one of the pioneers in the introduction of prenatal diagnostics of inborn flaws in newborns. Dr. Nikolova introduces the routine practice of three-dimensional scanning fetus in real time in Bulgaria.

Dr. Valentin Nikolov is the co-founder and one of the owners of St. Lazar Maternity Hospital.
