Targeted biopsy is performed with the purpose of obtaining a histological diagnosis in case of pathological tissue. Biopsy is taken from the border areas of the lesion, which allows us to receive information about the healthy tissue and the dysplastic tissue of the lesion. In gynaecology, targeted biopsy is most often performed with the help of a biopsy clip or during a hysteroscopy. The procedure can also be done during a diagnostic and therapeutic laparoscopy.
