Diagnosctic laparoscopy
Laparoscopic surgery allows doctors to arrive at a precise and definite diagnosis. They are able to see the internal organs and tissues with their own eyes instead of putting diagnosis by taking into consideration external symptoms only.
A small opening - about a centimetre long - is made at navel area. Through it a tiny tube with a microcamera attached to the tip is inserted. Using the microcamera, the surgeon takes a look at the uterus, the ovaries, the uterine tubes and the cervix. That is how the specialist is able to precisely assess the condition, define the problem and prescribe a proper and a relevant treatment.
