The team of the St. Lazar Hospital strives for providing the whole necessary care for its patients’ health not only at present but also in future.
The first licensed by BULSTRANSPLANTANT (executive transplantation agency at the Ministry of Health) laboratory and bank for preservation of stem cells in Bulgaria has functioned since July 2005 and now a large number of newborn babies “avail” with cryopreserved cells from their navel-strings upon birth.
Treated and cryopreserved, even after many years, they could prove to be the only “cure” for their owner or his/her family.
